One of the first sports facilities that Pinar del Río had at this stage was the Ateneo Deportivo, inaugurated on July 26, 1961, where the EIDE Ormani Arenado Llonch was based.

The School of School Sports Initiation (EIDE), of Pinar del Río was created by ministerial resolution in 1963, and was based on the former "Pinar del Río Sports Center", the first sports facility built by the Revolution, inaugurated on the 26th of July 1961.
The school was founded on September 8, 1974, with a good staff of teachers and workers and a reduced enrollment of students which in its early stages was named EPEF Commander Piti Fajardo.
Multipurpose Hall November 19 of Pinar del Río. Installation that serves as the venue for provincial, national and international sporting events of different disciplines. It also assumes the practice of systematic training of various sports.
