The Provincial Council of Government of Pinar del Río is a collegiate and deliberative body, which will fulfill the functions foreseen in the Constitution and the Laws, with the decisions by the favorable vote of the majority of its members.
Its fundamental mission is to achieve the economic and social development of the territory, attending to the general objectives of the country, acting as a coordinating entity between the central structures of the State and the municipalities, for which it must contribute to the harmonization of local and national interests.
