The Pinar del Río Art Museum Gallery (MAPRI) was inaugurated in 2000. Its objective is to promote  the artistic talent of the territory, being able to exhibit in its room an acceptable program of exhibitions of relevant artists both provincial and national, consisting of 1 exhibition hall and 8 workers.

Other spaces Popular Councils and schools have a stable program attended by the Gallery in the same municipality has an adequate technical-constructive state. The gallery serves 414 artists. It also has 5 projects of appreciation and creation, which mix the visual arts with literature and performing arts and also creates a space for dialogue, monthly, with the artists in each sample. It has characterized spaces and an intentional varied programming for all age groups.
