This is the only place in Cuba where fossil remains of certain types of dinosaurs, monkeys, sea turtles, and even evidence of the impact of meteorites have been found. There is also the largest cave system in Cuba and one of the largest in Latin America, the great Cavern of Santo Tomás, with 8 levels and more than 60 kilometers and the mogotes that are another singularity.
